BIOGRAPHY

       Hi all. Rob Grenville here. Thanks for visiting the site.  I'm in Melbourne, Australia.

I'm 66, still a desperate music lover and player. I live in inner-city Melbourne with my beautiful wife Maz. We have one son, Gerard, who is the light of our lives.

 

      I'm a singer and guitar player. I've been playing the music scene for the last forty years. The music I love is Jazz, R&B, Soul, Country Swing, Honky Tonk, Cajun, Zydeco. My ultimate musical heroes are Ray Charles, Charles Brown, Billy Holliday, Lester Young, Stan Getz , Bob Wills ... you get the idea.

        I've played in many bands over the years and am currently playing with the www.mooneevalleydrifters.com Moonee Valley Drifters. We play Honky Tonk Country of the swinging variety. For many years I headed the Fly Right Trio. We played way over 2000 gigs playing the American Standards songbook for  corporate, weddings, parties, promotional and anything else that came our way.

      This site is all about my original music. For decades I've been writing songs as a diary of my life. I've recorded many others as both engineer and producer, so now it's my turn to bring these songs to life. I hope you enjoy them.
